Collagen ELISA kit

Collagen is the main structural protein in the extracellular matrix of various connective tissues. It is the most abundant protein in mammals with concentration from 25% to 35% of whole-body protein. Collagen is consisting of amino acids bound to form the triple helix of elongated fibril, which is known as collagen helix. It exists mostly in connective tissue like cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments, and skin.

Depending on mineralization degree, collagen tissues can have a gradient from rigid to compliant, such as bone, cartilage, tendon. Collagen is an extracellular matrix protein for many tissues and organs scaffold to define shape and mechanical properties.

Collagens are highly conserved and characterized by uninterrupted triple helical structure. The extensive family of collagen have several chain types:

  • Fibril-forming interstitial collagen: type I, II, III and V
  • Basement membrane collage: type IV
  • Each type contains the multiple isoforms.

Collagen type 1 Elisa kit

Collagen type 1 is the largest fibril-forming collagen in cartilage and connective tissues. It is synthesized by fibroblasts, osteoblasts, and odontoblasts with theoretical molecular weigh of 138 kDa. This collagen is also known as collagen alpha, alpha-1 type I collagen, COL1A1.

Collagen I Elsa kit is an in vitro assay for the quantitative detection of collagen I concentration in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernates.

Human collagen elisa kit

We provide human collagen Elisa kit for quantitative measurement of human collagen levels in different serum and plasma.

Mouse collagen elisa kit

Mouse collagen Elisa kit can recognize mouse collagen concentration in various samples, such as: urine, oral fluid, tissue culture supernatant, plasma, or serum samples.

Rat collagen elisa kit

Rat collagen Elisa kit is designed for quantitative determination of rat collagen content in cell culture extracts, plasma, serum, and tissue extracts.
